About Dot

Dorothy Dwyer, a/k/a Dot, might be recognized as the sole female among Larry David’s close-knit group of poker playing friends in the HBO movie “Clear History.” Other film roles include Neil Jordan’s “In Dreams, “Mona Lisa Smile,” “Night Deposit,” and “The Sandpiper.” She’s appeared in several commercials for such notable clients as Mastercard, Channel 5, and the Boston Red Sox.

In the world of sketch comedy, Dot has been hailed for her “... droll yet incisive delivery so reminiscent of Art Carney’s off-kilter persona. “ “The Mrs. Potato Head Show,” a celebration of Irish American woman-being, written, created, and performed by Dwyer along with Margaret Ann Brady and Lucy Holstedt, has been hailed by Boston critics. She has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Brattleboro Theater in Brattleboro, VT, and numerous venues in Boston and New York. If you’re lucky you might even catch a stand-up set.

She's Funny.
